GT Bicycles is set to launched a unique mountain bike-focused demo program at the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, CA. The GT Bicycles Experience will visit bike shops and mountain bike festivals nationwide, providing an outlet for enthusiasts and shop employees to demo the latest GT bikes, learn about the product technology and above all, enjoy a true VIP cycling experience.

“A great ride starts with the right bike, but it doesn’t end there,” said Jenni Schwai, Director of Marketing for GT Bicycles. “Whether you want a cup of freshly made coffee before a morning ride, a set of lights to borrow for a 24-hour race or a trainer to use for a pre-race warm-up -- we’ve got you covered.”

Celebrating its 20th year of building championship-winning mountain bikes, GT Bicycles has long been recognized for race-proven technologies, such as its trademark Triple Triangle design and patented Independent Drivetrain (ID) suspension technology. GT introduced a pair of 6” all-mountain bikes this year -- the Sanction 1.0 and Force 1.0 – both of which are available to test through the GT Bicycles Experience demo program. The fleet also includes the lightweight 4” cross country Marathon Pro, the iconic Zaskar hardtail and the women’s specific GTw Marathon 2.0.

As part of the GT Bicycles Experience, riders can:

  • Try CrankBrothers’ easy-to-use clipless pedals
  • Demo the new CycleOps PowerTap disc wheels
  • Warm up on a CycleOps fluid trainer
  • Sample Jelly Belly Sport Beans
  • Check out NiteRider light sets
  • Use Park Tools to dial in their bikes
  • Ride Kenda’s latest tires
  • Check out Saris’ easy-to-use 3-bike Thelma hitch rack
  • Demo the helmets and body armor
  • Drink an ice-cold VitaminEnergy sports drink
